About this site
Earth in 24 Hours turns the hard-to-imagine span of 4.6 billion years into a single 24-hour day. Human history fits into the last few seconds, and more than 99% of all species that ever lived are already extinct. Rather than just reading those facts, we want you to feel them by becoming a creature born in another age.
In the main game, Evolution Gacha, you are born at a random moment, choose at evolutionary forks and try to survive selection based on real mass extinctions. All the pixel art was drawn for this site.
Accuracy
Dates and events are based on representative values used in research, including the international chronostratigraphic chart. Earth history is full of ranges and debates, and the forks and selection are simplified for the game. Our sources and simplifications are listed on Earth history & sources. If you find an error, please let us know.
